Participants will learn about grading African catfish, including the use of grading tools and methods for measuring average body weight. The course emphasizes biosecurity measures, such as UV disinfection of water and proper cleaning and disinfection of equipment. Key topics also include theft prevention, safe fish transportation, and food safety practices. In addition, participants will gain knowledge on purging, harvesting, catfish slaughtering and processing, and post-harvest management to ensure product quality and safety.
