This course covers key topics related to salmon lice and lice counting. You will gain a basic understanding of what salmon lice are, as well as the current legislation and regulations governing the industry. The course also focuses on how to recognize the different life stages of lice, including the distinction between male and female lice, and how to differentiate between attached stages, small mobile stages, and large mobile stages.
The course also addresses the practical execution of lice counting, with particular emphasis on accuracy and correct classification.
